108 Sun Salutations with Donna- Winter Solstice

8:30-10:30AM

This will be a two hour class signifying the start of winter. The Winter Solstice is a special day celebrated by many cultures marking the shortest day & the longest night of the year. You will be guided breath to movement through 108 sun salutations, with resting points offered throughout.

It is believed that the fire & internal heat you build during this practice is cleansing & detoxifying, allowing you to tune in & get in touch with your true self. This practice pushes you to move stagnant energy & surrender to anything that may no longer be serving you.
Why 108 salutations you may ask? The number 108 is sacred and significant in many ways, appearing in many disciplines from astronomy to yoga. This number connects the Sun, Moon, and Earth. The average distance of the Sun and the Moon to Earth is 108 times their respective diameters. In Ayurveda, the sister science of yoga, there are 108 sacred points on the body.

During 108 Sun Salutations, you will at some point think, “Why did I sign up for this?” If you keep going, you will find a state of ease, and even a sense of flow. You will surrender to the process, acknowledge what arises emotionally, and then let it go. When you finish, you will feel lighter and find your own personal meaning in this ancient ritual.

Yogis of all levels welcome! We will fall into that blissful child's pose throughout practice. Bring your mat, water and sweat towel.

Space is limited to 15 yogis.
Registration required. Investment in you: $15

Chakra Balancing

6:00-7:00 PM

Join registered yoga instructor and reiki practitioner Annie for a morning of chakra balancing. Your chakras are the energy wheels of your body, and correspond to different colors, feelings, and abilities. When chakras are misaligned or a particular chakra is under active, over active, or even blocked, it can lead to energetic imbalances manifesting in the form of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual issues and problems. When the chakras are each vibrating at their own correct frequency and all the chakras are balanced and aligned, it can lead to feelings of peace, relaxation, connection, and harmony. Annie will guide you in a morning of chakra work where we will travel through each one of the chakras and focus on clearing blockages and finding balance. Then we will take time to unify and connect all the chakras to one another, leaving you feeling balanced, peaceful, and in tune with your own truth. Chakra work in this class is done through gentle movement targeting each area where the individual chakra is located, as well as meditation and visualization on each chakra and the energetic body as a whole. Bija mantra music and optional chanting will be included.

Annie will incorporate Hue lighting to mirror the chakras and flow of bringing them back into balance.

Investment in you: $20. Space is limited to 6. RSVP to save your spot!

Minimum attendance required. No refunds given unless event is cancelled. If you aren't able to attend, consider gifting to a friend.
